Mattituck Strawberry Festival; Winery-hosted Fathers' Day BBQs; Perlman Chamber Music, & More

This weekend the biggest attraction is the annual Mattituck Strawberry Festival. Our fruit is ripe, and the juicy sweetness feeds family fun of all kinds. Many venues are offering special events aimed at celebrating Dad. Unsurprisingly, most involve beer, bbq & live music.

North Fork artists of all sorts come out to personally share their works.

This weekend there's an extra reason to ferry to Shelter Island. The Perlman Center's offering four special chamber music concerts.

We offer more than food, wine and glamour this weekend; feed your brain too with documentary film or  environmental and history lectures.

Like yard sales? One community is offering its collective treasures, while a local boy scout troop hopes their sale will fund summer camp.

Festivals

This weekend's Strawberry Festival has it all: fireworks, rides, vendors, midway games, live music, strawberries, a good cause.

Food, Farm & Vineyard

Dads can pick from several Father's Day barbecues at the wineries, even take a special grilling class. Get personal with farming by meeting the baby goats at Capatano's Dairy.  Learn all about herbs. Enjoy the many weekly farm & vineyard tours and tastings.

Live Music

Lots of options all weekend, from acoustic guitar to steel drum mania and everything in between. Perhaps the biggest treat is the chamber music concerts at Itzhak Perlman's center on Shelter Island.

Visual & Performing Arts

Meet a painter, fine art photographers, a filmmaker and an author; see and hear their work. Watch the local theater troop perform at their annual fundraising gala.

Outdoors, Land, Sky & Sea

Beyond our beautiful beaches, parks, fishing boats and lighthouse museum, this weekend offers a handful of outdoor-related workshops and lectures.
