  • Martha Clara Vineyards: Merlot Masquerade, Sound Avenue. Please join Martha Clara Vineyards on Friday, October 13th from 7-10pm for their Merlot Masquerade party. This masquerade will be held in Martha Clara Vineyards’ Pavilion. Masks will be provided to complement cocktail attire. Tickets include passed hors d’oeuvres and two complimentary glasses of wine. Live music will be provided, so dancing is strongly encouraged. Vignette Performed by Peconic Ballet. 7 -10 pm. Details.
  • McCall Wines - Tasting Room: Last Burger Night of the Season! Cutchogue Fridays you can find the North Fork Food Truck serving McCall’s grass-fed beef burgers at the McCall Tasting room. 5-7pm. Details.
  • Moustache Brewery: Nature Talk: Beneath the Waves - History of Long Island Seagrass Riverhead. We are stoked to host The Nature Talks, a special series of talks held at the brewery in collaboration with Christopher Paparo of Fish Guy Photos. On select Thursdays and Fridays, you're invited to learn more about our underwater habitats, ecosystem, Long Island after Sandy and more. Maple Tree BBQ Smokehouse Dine-in/Take-out and Catering Service will be in the house during the talks. The talk will start approximately at sunset, forecasted around 6:15pm. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on, as well as some bug spray. Join us on October 13th for “Beneath the Waves: A History of Long Island Seagrass" with Brad Peterson. 6-8 pm. Details.
  • Little Creek Oysters: Friday Night Bites- Oysters and Pintxos at Little Creek Greenport. Starting at 7pm on Friday we'll spread the counter with a dizzying spread of skewered small bites, pour crisp cold wines and beers and wash away the week together!   • Greenport Harbor Brewing Company: Cornhole Tournament at Greenport Harbor, Peconic. We're proud to team up with North Fork Cornhole and host our first Cornhole Tournament! $40 per team with 1st place cash prize, and 2nd and 3rd place prizes as well. Double Elimination style of play. Registration/Practice begins at noon, the bags fly at 1. We will have beer and food specials during the event.   • Hallockville Museum Farm: Log Cabin in the Woods Quilted Ornament, Riverhead. Learn this traditional quilting technique (by hand or machine—your choice) and make a tree ornament. This is a traditional foundation pieced workshop, in the log cabin style. It’s a great to use up scraps, hand sew in your recliner, to use in quilts, table runners, place-mats, ornaments, you name it! Bring scissors and basic sewing supplies (and Christmas fabric scraps in white, off white, gold, red and green to share also!) And your sewing machine with neutral thread.   • Downs Farm Preserve: Skull Science with NYS DEC, Cutchogue. With Halloween just around the corner, this is the perfect time of year to study animal skulls! Join us at Downs Farm Preserve as we take a look at the skulls of NYS mammals, and try to determine the diet of the animal based on dentition. Educators will point out muscle attachments, eye placement, skull size, and other characteristics to help you see the animal through the bones. A family donation is appreciated.   • Long Ireland Beer Company: Beer + Yoga at Long Ireland Beer Company, Riverhead. Long Ireland is one of the most fun breweries we've been... Why? The owners are two of the best guys ever. Dan came up with the idea of doing this even together with an Oktoberfest theme. One of the games they do is a stein holding contest and after some Beer and Yoga, we're gonna see who can hold a stein the longest! Winner gets a prize!   • Alex Ferrone Photography Gallery: Hybrid Opening Reception: Roz Dimon, Colin Goldberg, Han Qin, Cutchogue. Featuring works by regional artists Roz Dimon, Colin Goldberg, and Han Qin - each artist combining digital technology with various artistic disciplines including painting, drawing, photography, and printmaking in their creative processes. An artist working in the forefront of digital art practices since 1984, Roz Dimon has created a multi-layered, interactive painting she calls, a DIMONscape® – a single digitally collaged image composed of numerous photographs and digital drawings that is presented in a lightbox.  On exhibit is the DIMONscape®, Pale Male: A Pilgrimage - a symbolic, spiritual and iconographic work created in response to the September 11 attacks. 6-8pm Details.
  • VSOP Projects: An Afternoon of Art & Wine for EducationGreenport. You're invited to an afternoon of art and wine at VSOP Projects hosted by CAST (Community Action Southold Town), Anita Stewart, Melanie Holland and Jonathan Weiskopf! This event will benefit North Fork families through The Parent-Child Home Program, Inc.'s site at CAST as part of One Island Giving Day. The Parent-Child Home Program (PCHP) is an early literacy and home visiting program that provides low-income families with the necessary skills and tools to ensure their children achieve their greatest potential in school and in life. This event is open to the public, and all are welcome. VSOP Projects will donate 10% of proceeds from this event directly to the Parent-Child Home Program. 3-6pm. Details.

  • Greenport Harbor Brewing Company: Artist Michele Dragonetti “Against the Current”, Greenport. On Saturday, September 16, 2017, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company will host a reception for the opening of their new exhibition, “Against the Current,” featuring the photography of Michele Dragonetti. Splitting her time between Manhattan and Amagansett, Michele Dragonetti’s photos primarily focus on the hulls of maritime vessels, capturing them from a looming vantage that highlights their symmetry and geometry. 7-9pm.
