Perlman's Back! Plus Bye Bye Birdie, Laughing for the Dogs, Barrel Tastings, Palm Readings, more...

The Perlman Music Program on nearby Shelter Island is a local treasure, easily accessible via Greenport ferry. Throughout the year they offer a range of stunning, low cost or even free concerts. This weekend they offer one of each. In addition, the Mattituck Musical Theater company stages Bye Bye Birdie, and Ospreys Dominion vineyard hosts a night of comedy to benefit the North Fork Animal Welfare League. Pindar opens its barrels for tastings and Shinn Estates hosts a talented palm reader, while Little Creek Oysters makes Sunday fun day with oysters, mimosas, and other concoctions.

Live music is getting amped up, with the number of shows looking more like late spring than mid-winter, and all the other arts are seeing action too--see interesting films, meet an artist at a reception,  paint a picture, more.

The North Fork's not just summer anymore.
