Special Wine & Bubbly Pairings, Many Concerts and Lots of Laughs

The North Fork's getting busy; our vineyards are featuring special pairings, tastings and concerts. Enjoy comfort food and oysters; get the back story on burgundy. Dance at a dozen and a half concerts. Laugh!  The Community Theater opens a new comedy, while the Custer Institute hosts an improv troupe. Want a little outdoor play? Ice skate all day in the heart of downtown Greenport, or skate 'round the rink Friday night with the whole family. If you get cold during family skate night, take a hop, skip and jump to Little Creek Oysters for family game night, happening in the same 7:30-9:30 pm slot.

The Highlights

(Click a title to reach the full listings for that type of event)

Food, Farm & Vineyard

Comfort food paired with bubbly, oysters paired with wine, a hands-on burgundy class, cooking with grandma, special tastings and tours--too much to do it all, but you should try.

Live Music

Friday night's standout is an ABBA cover band, but there's several other options. Saturday's big show is blissfully harmonic bluegrass, but again, many other shows are playing. Sunday listen to jazz while shopping Lieb Cellar's New Year's clearance sale, or check out any of half-dozen other shows.

Visual, Performing & Literary Arts

The North Fork Community Theater's next show opens, a hilarious comedy. For comedy of the improv sort, head over to the Custer Institute. Other options include matinee art films and galleries.

History

Explore and get to know this area; Southold's been around, whether as New Haven's plantation or its own, independent town, for 375 years.

Outdoors, Land, Sky & Sea

Ice skate in the heart of Greenport, and check out the stars on Saturday night.
