Tall Ship, Wine & Oyster Cruises, Plus Harvest East End

So many ways to enjoy the outdoors this weekend! Get on the water by sailing on an 80 foot schooner, cruising on the Peconic Star sipping Bedell wine, or riding a smaller solar powered craft while learning local oyster history and farming. If the sky's clear Saturday night, visit the Custer Institute observatory or One Woman Wines--the moon will be nearly gone, and the heavens busy. And more. Perhaps the most special event of the weekend is Harvest East End, which features 40 East End winemakers and 30 top regional chefs celebrating over 40 years of Long Island wine.

But those aren't the only options--taste local heirloom tomatoes, hear a special Ithzak Perlman & friends concert; enjoy jazz, Greek music, and all the more typical options too.

The Highlights
