Head to the Village Cheese Shop for Roses, Rosés & Roe, Macari Vineyards for Rosé sorbet, and many more vineyards & restaurants for specials of all sorts--e.g., Pindar, The Old Field, Sparkling Pointe, Laurel Lake, Palmer & Jamesport Vineyards. Food, Farm & Vineyard

Fete Mom in so many ways; bring the kids to Harbes, or out to brunch with you. Ditch the kids and head to special vineyard events, from tastings to yoga and other treats. Nurses get some love at The Old Field, and Palmer celebrates Cinco de Mayo. An art exhibit opens at The Lenz Winery.

  • The Lenz Winery: Artist ReceptionPeconicIntoxicating Color, by Diana Sartor. Diana’s work has been referred to as abstracted organics. Her love of patterns, rhythms and forms found in nature inspire her work. As dominant elements, the spontaneous application of paint along with lush, sensuous color draws people in. Her paintings are visual diaries conveying her impressions of nature. The observations carried within spill out with highly saturated color and lively marks meant to express delight! hrough June 20, 2016. Reception 5-7 pm. Details.

Running all weekend long, and featuring outdoor fun for families: Plant a flower for Mom, Live music, Wine tastings, Pig races, Hayrides, and more. Mom gets in free to Barnyard Adventure on Mother’s Day! (Barnyard Adventure includes: animals, Goat Mountain, Bunnyville, The Hedge Maze, The Three Little Pig houses, and Pedal Carts.) Warblers in their colorful breeding plumage, as well as other long distance travelers use Mashomack as a critical resting and refueling stop. These neo- tropical migrants are in decline. Come see these disappearing birds and learn how you can help stop their demise. We’ll identify by sight and by ear and document all the birds which are seen and heard.
