Valentine Decadence: Wine, Chocolate, Oysters, Music...Yum.

This weekend, the North Fork offers many sensual experiences in honor of Valentine's Day: delightful scents, flavors, sounds and textures. Clovis Point Vineyards, Waters Crest Winery and Osprey's Dominion have paired their wines with handcrafted chocolates (Osprey's Dominion offers oysters too.) Sparkling Pointe Vineyard pairs its bubbly with cupcakes. Greenport Harbor Brewing pairs its beers with chocolates and delicious bits from Fork and Anchor. But it's not all sweets and salty oysters; Laurel Lake Vineyards and Borghese vineyards offer special wine dinners, as do Noah's and A Lure. For entertainment, your options range from winemaking classes at Martha Clara and Sannino Bella Vita Vineyards to an incredible range of live music to a dramatic reading to a film about an interesting local artist and his patron. If you're brave enough to face the cold, join a bird count or better still, cheer on the 170th Washington's birthday parade.

The North Fork's not just summer anymore.
