The Highlights
Friday January 6 - Sunday January 8
The weekend after New Year's is quieter than average, but features some special indoor fun. Palmer Vineyards kicks off a weekend tasting series that features a Palmer wine and a variety of others from around the world for a guided compare and contrast experience.
The North Fork Community Theater stages its annual scholarship fundraiser, a one-weekend-only variety show of song, dance, magic, comedy & more.
Several wineries, breweries and restaurants feature live music. Our galleries are open, as are our unique shops. Mother Nature continues to give us late autumn-like weather, so exploring our great outdoors can still be a comfortable pleasure.

- Greenport Harbor Brewing: New Stories Simply Told, Greenport. North Fork artist Peter Treiber Jr. Creating both locally on his family farm- where he also works-and at his studio space at the Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn, Treiber uses his artwork as a means of dissection and discovery. Using reclaimed wood and fragments from vintage magazines, his work strives to discover the limits of the materials, thereby reinventing them and placing them in a new context and new narrative that evokes both the surreal and the satirical. Treiber’s wall mounted sculptures playfully mock rustic hunting trophies, while his paper collages range from absurd adverts to faded antique shop finds, all which bear a charming simplicity.
